DESCRIPTION
MediMedia USA, Inc., a renowned publisher of worldwide consumer and professional health information is seeking a results-oriented Executive Editor for our health and safety publications in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of health and safety educational products, including books, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and online courses.
  • Translating market analysis and research into successful publishing products.
  • Developing print and electronic content from proposals through final product.
  • Creating and monitoring project schedules and budgets.
  • Assessing current multimedia products to create new standards and development procedures.
  • Editing and writing content as needed.
  • Working closely with strategic publishing partners to enhance existing products and identify opportunities for new revenue streams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years publishing experience as an editor and project manager working with print and electronic formats is required, preferably at an educational publisher.
  • Must be detail-oriented, a team player, able to manage multiple projects, deadline-oriented, and an excellent communicator and problem-solver.
  • Experience developing health content for a lay audience is a plus.
  • BA/BS degree with concentration in English or related field strongly preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
