John M. Perkins, author, activist and humanitarian, will receive the 2008 Jordan Lifetime Achievement Award, from The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), on Sunday, July 13th, opening night of the International Christian Retail Show in Orlando, Fla. Perkins a(Let Justice Roll Down), has devoted his life to helping the poor through evangelism and community development. In 2006, Let Justice Roll Down was selected by Christianity Today magazine as #14 of "The Top 50 Books that Have Shaped Evangelicals." This ECPA Award is given annually to an individual each year for their exceptional contributions to the Christian publishing industry. Past recipients include author R.C. Sproul, Discovery House founding Publisher Robert DeVries, Billy Graham, Joni Eareckeson Tada and J.I. Packer.  

Bethany Press has signed Tracie Peterson, author of faith-based historical novels, to another 10-book contract, lasting until 2013. During her previous 10-year partnership with Bethany, Peterson has had more than 40 books published. Her last three, issued in the most recent six months, have had a combined sales of more than 160,000 copies. Romantic Times awarded Peterson the 2007 Career Achievement Award in Inspirational Fiction. Previously awardees include Karen Kingsbury and Francine Rivers. 

B&H Publishing Group launched a new Web Site for its growing line of fiction releases at PureEnjoyment.com. The portal features information on current titles plus contests, giveaways, author pages and of book video trailers. Electronic marketing manager Ben Todd stated that these videos "make books come alive in a way that really helps the potential reader." Early videos are for upcoming releases such as the hostage adventure Forsaken and supernatural thriller Shade. The site is also currently offering a free download of Sisters, Ink, the first in a series of four novels by Rebeca Seitz following the lives of four daughters adopted into a family and connected by their late mother's love of scrapbooking.
