SUMMARY OF RULES:
* One entry per person (must be a bookseller)
* Event with Lorna Landvik will take place sometime between October 1st and October 31st, 2008.
* Entries must be received by June 15th, 2008.
* One bookstore will be chosen at random.
* Winner will be selected on June 17th, 2008 and notified by June 18th, 2008. (Due to volume of submissions, we cannot respond to every entry.)
* Must be 18 years of age or older to enter and win. Certain other restrictions and eligibility requirements apply. See full official sweepstakes rules for details.
* Open to bookstores in the Continental U.S. excluding Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, and Florida

1. HOW TO ENTER: To enter to win an event with Lorna Landvik, author of THE VIEW FROM MOUNT JOY visit http://www.randomhouse.com/rhpg/contests/landvikevent and fill out the online entry form by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 15th, 2008. No purchase, entry fee, or payment is necessary to enter the Sweepstakes. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. Limit one entry per person/e-mail account. You must be a bookseller to enter. For purposes of these rules, "receipt" of an electronic entry occurs when Sponsors' servers record the entry information upon clicking the "submit" (or similar) button. In the event of a dispute as to the entries by the same person, whether using one or more e-mail accounts, will not be accepted and may result in disqualification of all entries. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices will result in disqualification. Entries are limited to individuals only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. Sponsors are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by entrants; lost entries or transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic, technical malfunctions of the computer hardware, software, or any combinations thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to entrants' systems. Incomplete entries will be voided. All entries become the property of Sponsors and will not be returned.

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the continental United States excluding Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, and Florida. Must be eighteen years or older. Must be a bookseller. Employees of Random House, Inc., and family members and individuals living in their homes, are not eligible to enter. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: One bookseller will be chosen at random from those entrees that successfully complete the Official online entry form by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 15th, 2008 in a drawing conducted on or about June 17th, 2008. Winners will be notified by mail or e-mail by June 18th, 2008. If the winner cannot be reached or does not acknowledge notification within five (5) days of the first notification attempt, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Releases within ten (10) days after the notification date, or an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries received. Winner's traveling companion will be required to sign an eligibility release before ticketing. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.

4. PRIZES: One event with Lorna Landvik, author of THE VIEW FROM MOUNT JOY, to be held sometime between October 1st and October 31st, 2008. All other expenses and all federal, state, and local taxes are winners' sole responsibility. No transfer or substitution of prizes.

5. Limitations of Liability/Reserved Rights. Neither Random House, Inc. nor their respective its parents, subsidiaries or affiliated companies, nor its/their promotional agencies shall have any obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims, or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged, or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or (iv) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.

6. Random House Inc., in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web site or otherwise violating these rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Sweepstakes if the Sweepstakes cannot be completed as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or technical failures of any sort.

7. Miscellaneous. For the names of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Random House, Attn: Ballantine Marketing, 1745 Broadway, MD 18-1, New York, NY 10019 after June 18th, 2008. Residents of VT and WA may omit postage on return envelope. Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations; void where prohibited or restricted by law.
