DESCRIPTION
Independent Publishers Group is seeking a full-time member of the production department.
Primary responsibilities include writing marketing copy for our Spanish books catalog, proofreading and editing both English and Spanish copy, communicating with client publishers in both English and Spanish, record processing and tracking, layout/design, and performing tasks related to all aspects of seasonal catalog production as well as other smaller marketing/sales pieces.
The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and editorial and design experience (knowledge of Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop) required.
